Betting Tips
- England have very strong options across all positions in their ODI side. Opener Jonny Bairstow is an excellent option for leading run-scorer for England after scores of 112, 94, and 124 in three of his last four ODI innings. With the ball, Chris Woakes is an excellent choice for leading wicket-taker, he has 145 wickets in this format.
- Captain Kusal Perera has 104 ODI caps and has made six centuries since making his debut in 2013. He is a good tip for top run-scorer for Sri Lanka. Wanindu Hasaranga was very impressive in the recent IT20 series and we expect his spin to cause England problems in this game. He is a good bet for Sri Lanka’s leading wicket-taker.
- England’s regular wicket-keeper Jos Butller is out of the series through injury and we expect Jonny Bairstow to deputize. Attacking left-hander Niroshan Dickwella will keep wicket for Sri Lanka. We recommend Bairstow as the top wicket-keeper in this opening ODI.

Toss Prediction
England always prefer to chase in this format whereas Sri Lanka favour batting first. Conditions may dictate other approaches but we would expect both captains to stick to their usual approaches…………… ….
Pitch Report : Mark Wood’s home ground will certainly have some pace in the wicket. However, we also expect the spin bowlers to enjoy the conditions in Durham………….. { batting.. .}
Weather Report: High of 18 degrees without any danger of rain during the match. Thick cloud should clear as the game progresses………..
