Betting Tips
- Trent Boult lived up to his billing as the ICC ODI number one ranked bowler in the first ODI on Saturday, finishing with figures of 4-27. But in a typical New Zealand performance, nearly all the bowlers chipped in, only Kyle Jamieson unable to pick up any wickets but he still kept his economy at a reasonable rate beneath 3.5 an over.
- With the bat, New Zealand’s top order knew there was no rush to reach their target, but that didn’t stop Martin Guptill coming out of the traps in a hurry and smashing four sixes in his 19-ball 38. Henry Nicholls top scored with an unbeaten 49 and ODI debutant Devon Conway was able to bat at Test pace to make 27 with a strike rate of 51.92.
- For Bangladesh, the only player to come out of the game with any credit was debutant Mahedi Hasan who had the most impressive economy rate of the bowlers from both sides. He sent down six overs of his off-spin and only went for seventeen runs. The Tigers will need their more experienced players to show up in this game if they are to threaten the Black Caps at all.

Toss Prediction
Tom Latham won the toss in Saturday’s game and asked Bangladesh to bat first. We expect whichever captain who wins the toss to elect to field.. ….
Pitch Report : We expect to see a surface where batting isn’t easy for the majority of players but don’t expect Martin Guptill to alter his style of play……….. { balling.. .}
Weather Report: Cloudy and dry but not particularly warm on the south island. High of 11 degrees during the game…..
